To ensure a continuing flow of qualified applicants, Mystic Seaport Museum posts all job openings in its weekly staff bulletin, local newspapers, at the Connecticut Department of Labor, in museum trade publications, in the Northeast Minority News newspaper, and on designated internet sites.

Mystic Seaport Museum offers a comprehensive benefits package for regular full-time staff, and their eligible dependents which includes medical and dental insurance (cost-sharing involved) as well as term life insurance (for full-time staff only), and the option of purchasing supplemental life insurance. After two years of service, these same staff are eligible for enrollment in a 403 (B) pension plan.
Mystic Seaport Museum grants paid vacations to all regular full-time and regular part-time staff. The amount of the vacation to which an employee is entitled depends upon two factors: length of service from anniversary date and numbers of hours the staff member works during the year.
