Museum offering free admission to SNAP EBT Participants

Ongoing Program

Mystic Seaport Museum has launched a program under its Caring for our Community initiative to encourage people of all backgrounds to visit the Museum by offering free general admission to those receiving food assistance (SNAP). The program provides free general admission for six people (up to 2 adults per group) with the presentation of a SNAP Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card.

Tickets can be purchased online or in person.

Ongoing Program

Effective immediately, Mystic Seaport Museum employees will be given  up to two paid days per calendar year to volunteer for a 501c3 charitable organization of their choosing.

The purpose of this program is to support activities that enhance and serve the communities in which we live and work. We want to enable our employees to share in the effort of giving back to the community, while enriching the lives of our employees. This program is ongoing and we’ll be sharing our employees efforts on our social channels!

HOURS

Daily | 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Monday*–Thursday Collins Gallery in the Thompson Exhibition Building open. Remaining campus closed.

Friday–Sunday North campus, all exhibition galleries, and whaleship Charles W. Morgan open. Grounds close at 5:00 p.m.

*CLOSED JANUARY 19, MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. DAY, AND FEBRUARY 16, PRESIDENTS’ DAY

South Entrance, Village, and Shipyard will reopen March 20. Ticket prices are reduced during this time.
